Senior Marketing Communications Specialist
Job Description:
Our client, a leading global research organization located in Durham, NC, is seeking a Senior Specialist, Marketing Communications to oversee the development and implementation of integrated marketing communications campaigns. This role will drive brand engagement and awareness through digital communications, Account Based Marketing, social media and multimedia to amplify our client's mission, vision and value to existing and prospective clients.
Responsibilities:
Work with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to update the website to reflect business priorities
Work as liaison with web development partner and Corporate Communications colleagues to funnel and monitor website development requests and enhancement projects
Build out integrated marketing communication strategies and tactical plans, including setting metrics for success, with the teams responsible for creating content across the institute?s owned channels, including the website, corporate social media profiles, and brand assets
Create the framework for planning, writing, editing, producing and distributing digital content to scale quickly and efficiently
Lead efforts to leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities and insights and translate needs into executable integrated marketing plans that improve performance and deliver on objectives
Analyze and report on key project results and make recommendations for refining or improving future marketing communications plans
Lead efforts to continue to build out client's Account Based Marketing tool and report out results
Project manage the flow and production of marketing communications assets-including web pages, blogs, social media, infographics and more by partnering with design teams and internal stakeholders
Ensure the marketing communications team is executing against an editorial calendar that is designed to reflect strategic business objectives
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or related area from an accredited university
10 years of relevant experience; OR master's degree and 5 years of experience

Ability to interpret business objectives into marketing communications plans
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate crisply and candidly, translating and simplifying complex concepts
Strong project management and organizational skills with an orientation to systems thinking and data analytics
Advanced skills in Content Management Systems
Advanced Google Analytics experience
Detail-oriented with the ability to connect the dots to ensure appropriate integration, strong analytical skills
Team-oriented with an emphasis on actively fostering an inclusive, collaborative work environment with peers and clients
Ability to work independently and within a dynamic matrix environment to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Ability to work across lines of business, effectively communicate, and mobilize resources to accomplish assignments
Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically and critically in alignment with our client's long term goals
Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, corporate marketing or agency
Integrated marketing communications experience in a data-driven role; experience with analytics, SEO required
Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing communications planning, project management and implementation
Account Based Marketing experience
Demonstrated experience and success at supporting cross-functional programs and working inclusively with multifunctional and diverse teams
